For the longest time, folks, I have pondered this question: WHO really IS a junk GypSy? Am I quALified to tag MYselF with This badGE of HOnoR? After carefully looKing IN MY BasemenT, I can declaRE......"i AM A junK GYPsY."

I say YES I AM, too!
I mean I watch Antiques Roadshow, Pawn Stars, American Pickers...
Read Country Living and Southern Living and swoon over the pics...
I hit garage sales religiously...
I scrounge through all the odd items at the resale shops to uncover a treasure...
My garage is full of my, ahem "collections" much to my husbands demise..
I crave things with feathers, fringe, ribbons and lace...
I will go miles out of my way to check what has been left at the curb for trash pickup..
I have been known to "dumpster dive"....
I have kept found things to use in a "Project" (growing daily)
I find fellow junkers basically kin...
I love this place and all it stands for, looking Gypsy cool and surrounding oneself in Junquey Beauty!..
So Yes I Do Declare...
I AM a Junk Gypsy!

Well!! ~~I am relieved to see that I am not the only one who will nearly cause a 5-car collision to make a radical left-hand turn into a garage sale that I've spotted out of the corner of my eye, while driving down the street! ~ And it is with a great sigh, that I can say, that there are "goodies" that are lurking in different closets, boxes, storage thangs, etc., that hold my "valuables" - Anybody else would say, "Why the @$%*$ are you keeping this Stuff??!!" -- Ahh, but us Junque Queens and Kings, Ahh...we know better!! ~ These treasures we hold near & dear mean the world to us..an' when we clean 'em up, make 'em all "new & better", ah-HA! ~ Then, THEN, we know that we are indeed ahead of the rest! ~ So, Dig-On, Oh Junk Gypsy's!! ~~ The next great find is only just down the street...or shop...or...!!

My last JuNqueE from a lady cleaning her garage and gifties to me were a plastic crate(what I stopped for) the she said to take anything I wanted so I loaded up TWO mirrors, I plan to re-paint the wood frames on them. I think they were dresser mirrors)A bunch of Plant pots, potting soil, brass TALL candlesticks amd brass wall birds, ( maybe I will paint) more plastic crates underneath, I got 3 total, those TV like fish shows, What I can do with the TV part? and more, Let me think!
Oh yes, I went to take photos to load up! THey were butterflies wall brass, not birds, LOL! Smiles Cyndi
