I am being very sorry & begging forgiveness from all my dead friends for being absent from my page. I just got lots in life & the work involved in Christmas retail. Now, I am coming back to life & sorry to have missed all the fun & the connection with the charming artsy characters to which I so closelly identify. So please forgive & continue to remember me. I am planning a trip with my daughter & dear friend to Warrenton, Texas & the best of times ever and, well, its about all I can think of. Visiting with like minded wild women who have character & a love of horsey things & cowboys is a great Jan. & Feb. pastime. Wow. also love your music. Something else in common. so long for now-drop me a line.

That is quite an image! If Rambler could come all the way up to house, he would be looking at me thru the windows, and causing all kinds of mischief! Yesterday, I hooked up the heater to the water trough, and he already is unplugging it and playing around.

Being a NW girl, I too was surprised at how green and beautiful TN and Ky are. There are many breathtaking trails in this part of the country.Rambler and Django do live here with me. It is a great joy and blessing to look out the kitchen window and see them in the pasture or at the barn!

You have a poetic of way of capturing that which cannot be captured as well. It takes what is not written between the words of what is to tall the entire story and yet it takes us a lifetime to read between them there words. God Bless your cowboy and all the others may they forever be the heart of our country. Willie does say it best my own brand of misery by being alone to long. I almost feel I was a cowboy in a former life and wish I was to day.

As for the snooze I am picturing grabbing the beek of a rooster to shut him up just to be able to sleep ten minutes past the dawn. However, the rooster probably knows a cowgirl would kick herself in the pants if she missed even one sunrise. That is my problem today. I moved back to Texas and have not found a job for a wondering rebel heart so I am sleeping in and missing the one part of being a cowgirl I have left and that is the sunrise. I do still have my four wonder Mutts and my little Dachshund looks like a mini mini horse as she runs to the squirrels. I sometimes lay down flat on the grass to watch her and picturew this little miniature prairie and she is the wild horse running across it. As ridiculous as that may sound I find it the most conforting and enjoyable part of my day. " Being alone to long" I really like the word melancholy thanks for that it makes something delicious out of sadness kinda like bittersweet.

Have an amazing journey today even if it is just going to bed.

Cowboys are poets by nature from the timbre of their voice to the leather of their skin. They talk about places they see in thie distance as if they have already been and in some ways they already have because they know this great country of ours and it's truth as it is told to them by the land and it's animals. Their is nothing more comforting then their hands in the small of your back and their voices telling you they love you!!! I don't have one anymore and have not had one for a while so I rely on the music and the memory to take me back to where I wish I had always been.

FYI: best part about cowboys they understand even cowgirls punch the snooze!!!!
