Sittin here in a pile of red paper making homemade Valentines & becoming so inspired I've just written the following in my handpainted diary. I have 2 assistants helping me with everything (those blasted cats are into everything).
Valentines Day - I love Valentines Day always look forward to it though I don't know why. Its never as good as what I want it to be. I know, Incurably Romantic, thats the problem. But, Hallmark just doesn't get it right ya know. Not the way I see

Well, here it is the month of Feb. ~ An' I'm now in the middle of some work that I didn't really think would take me as long to finish as it is ending up to be. I think that's probably a poor use of english, but you get my drift..
The Husband & I recently made a purchase of a used vehicle..Actually it's one that I've been searching high and low for - I wanted to make sure that it ran GOOD, and that all the mechanical things were in tip-top shape. I also wanted to make sure, that when I got…

Well, Santa worked overtime to bring me the presents I requested and Yes, when that Junk Gypsy box came, I could not wait to open it. This year I got a Sweet Bird Studio necklace, to go with my Mothers ring. and lots more. Also my 18 yr old daughter is close behind in her JG stash, She will be going to college in the fall, so for her nov b-day, I ordered her all the essetials... The laundry bag, flyswatter, messsenger bag, camo jacket, tape measure, flipflops, owl pillow and ring, troubadour sca…

Ok, so I'm finally realizing that it is nearly 2010, and now I'm wondering whether or not to jus' haul off and SPLURGE on 23,405 things at the local thrift store..not that any of them are what anybody would call "Necessary Items", but they are some fabulous THINGS, and besides, all the sales go to a worthy cause in the community.
So what's stopping me? ~~ Well, nothing..'cept maybe a "Stern Lecture" from one of the members of this household..and I'm not sure if that's how I wanna start off the…

We had all the goodies for Thanksgiving Day ~~ Ate probably far more than we should have ~~ Did not even make an attempt to go and exercise any of that food Off ~~ And could actually care less. It's the Holidays, so There!!
We did have a disaster tho ~~ Our dog had to make an emergency trip to the vet hosp. - Her cancer tumor had partially ruptured, so we had to take her in - I have more details on my other blog, "Lady-Of-The-Tulips.blogspot.com ~~ But we've been given more time with the dog, s…

Well, it dawned on me, that it's just about the weekend, and there are so many things to do! - But instead of taking care of all those mundane Thangs, I'm playing with my paints, paper and other goodies. Avoiding All Things Housework, that's the ticket.
The Nor'easter last weekend didn't do as much damage here as in other parts of the neighborhood. Some people have trees down, and up in Norfolk, a friend told me she had over 18" of water in her basement. I can't imagine how horrible it is for h…

I'm a huge bookworm & love reading many different genres of books. Reading is my escape from reality however brief it may be. I always take a book with me to any appointments I have as to not go crazy while waiting. If I'm at home & sitting down it's a pretty safe bet I have a book in hand. That is unless I'm on here & even then a lot of times I am looking for "new authors/books" just waiting for me to discover. Based on the books &
