For the love of my Gypsy/cowgirl spirit
and the love of all things vintage and Junk worthy I went on a hunt for similar minded people and look what I found.An awesome place with people that are very much like me.Now I think I am addicted to this site but thats ok with me.
I have been a lover of all things cowgirl since I was a little girl and wore my Annie Oakly outfit everywhere along with my trusty Horse (all tho he was made of metal) he was my truty steed and took me on many cowgirl adventures in my imagination.(Have a phote somewhere may have to go on a hunt for it.)
I have been a lover of vintage also since I was little but this started when I was in school and when we did dressups.There was this brown satin and tulle dress that I just loved but I think every other little girl(and maybe some boys who knows )loved it too because I think I only ever got to wear it once that I can remember(if I saw it now I probably would wonder what I was thinking lol it was probably quite ugly but to me at the time it was THE dress)I have a great collection of vintage now and one day may even open a store and sell it (if I can let it go) I also have a great collection of fancy dress which I hire to anyone in need.
My love of guitars comes from the one my mum had hanging on her wall and I was allowed to get it down on occassion and have a strum and you know to thie day even tho I have 2 guitars of my own and 3 for the kids I still cant play it properly how sad is that? My love of country music I also owe to my mum who played country on what I think was a daily basis.But I also enjoy all the old classics from my youth and before.
Being an opshop(thriftstore) addicted nut is also my mums fault I can still remember some of the clothes she bought for me back in the 70s from jumble sales and op shops.If I only had known how they would all be back again I would have cared for them a tad better than what I did.I have been buying all sorts of junk for as long as I can remember and am now in training with my grandkids now who love it too.I figure being anJunk junkie is not too bad as I dont have any other addictions YET!
I am a gypsy at heart and always will be but sadly am grounded at this time and find it hard to keep my itchy feet still so I think I make up for that with my Junk collecting.
After spending my weekend here being inspired by the JG girks I am ready to junk out this week where ever I can.Wish me luck and fingers crossed I find somthing to show off here very soon.
